Dahye Han

Hello! I am a Ph.D. candidate in Operations Research at Georgia Institute of Technology. I am fortunate to be advised by Dr. Santanu Dey.
I am broadly interested in mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) and global optimization. My current research focuses on the design and analysis of algorithms for MINLP, particularly branch-and-bound methods and convex relaxation techniques. I apply these methods to problems arising from applications such as power systems and structural engineering. I am also interested in integrating machine learning with optimization to accelerate algorithmic decisions.
Prior to joining Georgia Tech, I obtained A.B. in Mathematics from Washington University, St. Louis in 2015. Then, I worked as a Senior Analyst at NERA Economic Consulting until 2020.
Beyond research, I like to swim, play piano, explore nature and eat good food.
